Life/Soul-Saving Blood

16 GALLONS/61 LITERS OF LIFE-SAVING BLOOD!

As an adult, I have been a life-long blood donor to the Red Cross and am in the Red Cross  “Heroes for Life Club” due to regularly giving blood for over 40 years. In February of 2019, I gave my 128th pint [2.11 pints equal one liter] of blood which equals 16 gallons/61 liters. The Red Cross says that each pint of blood [red cells, plasma, platelets] saves three lives, so that would be 384 lives saved.

My purpose in sharing this is not to laud myself but to do two things: First, is to encourage more people to give blood. The Red Cross reports that, in spite of the ongoing need for blood—due to accidents, surgeries, illnesses—only about 3% of the population in the United States of America gives blood. Just increasing the percent of people donating blood to 5% would more than solve the ever-critical need for life-saving blood. Second, my purpose is to make a spiritual application that Jesus did not just donate his blood, he shed his blood for the salvation of all humanity so that would be billions, perhaps even trillions of souls saved, since Jesus did not just die to potentially save people; he died effectually to save each and every person in the WHOLE world (John 4:42; I John 2:2)!

Jesus declared, shortly before his crucifixion, that were he “lifted up from the earth” [on the cross] he would draw all people [without exception] to himself (John 12:32)! In my book, “Christianity Without Insanity,” 5-star rated on Amazon, I called this drawing power “The Spiritual Magnetism of Christ,” in that metal has no power to draw itself to a magnet; a magnet just naturally draws metal to itself. The Apostle Paul penned this glorious truth that just as all die in Adam, even so, all live in Christ (I Cor. 15:22). And Paul also stated this magnificent truism that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto God’s self and that Jesus was made sin for us so that we would become the righteousness of God in him (II Cor. 5:17-21)! Ultimately, some glorious day the whole human family will join hands around God’s throne singing the song, “I Am Redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb.”

In the meantime, awaiting that wonderful day, Christians sing the inspiring song, “There is Power in the Blood.” Therefore, due to this spiritual power in Jesus’ blood he freely gave, the 100% positive ending of the great redemptive story will be universal submission to and universal confession of faith in Christ, to the glory of God, and every created being in the universe worshiping God and the sacrificial Lamb [Christ] eternally (Phil. 2:9-11; Rev. 5:13)! Surely, as I have stated, in my books, “Universal understanding of universal salvation shall, eventually, will bring about universal peace, with weapons of war being recycled into implements of agriculture” (Isaiah 2:4)!
