Top Ten ET Impossible

Top Ten Reasons Why the Doctrine of

    Eternal Torture is IMPOSSIBLE!

#10. Eternal punishment is impossible because

God will not because He cannot violate His

own command, in Christ, to love one’s enemies,

pray for them, and do good for them (Mt. 5:43, 44).

#9. Eternal punishment is impossible because God

shall destroy the works of the Devil (I Jn. 3:8).

God will not just defeat and confine evil, in a

dark hole in the universe called "hell," but will

completely destroy evil so it will not be an eternal

dark blight on God’s universe of love and light.

#8. Eternal punishment is impossible because Christ is

the Savior of the whole world—not just a small part

      of it (Jn.4:42).

#7. Eternal punishment is impossible because Christ,

God in human form, will draw all created beings to

      Himself (Jn. 12:32).

#6. Eternal punishment is impossible because God

will not because He cannot violate the command

He gave, in Christ, to forgive seventy times seven

which means to forgive and to keep on forgiving

       (Mt. 18:21, 22).

#5. Eternal punishment is impossible because God’s

love is unconditional and everlasting, not

conditional and time limited (Jer. 31:3).

#4. Eternal punishment is impossible because it

would make might right and prove God’s

Word false since the Bible declares,

"Not by might nor by power but by my

Spirit says the Lord" (Zech. 4:6).  God will

draw all people to Himself by His Spirit

("irresistible grace"),  not torture people forever.

#3. Eternal punishment is impossible because God

will not because He cannot violate His own law

of proportionality: life for life, an eye for an eye,

a tooth for a tooth, burning for burning...

(Ex. 21:23-25). Eternal damnation in literal hell

fire would be excessive to the nth degree!

#2. Eternal punishment is impossible because hell

will cease to exist! The church will eventually

stop playing defense, get on the offense, ram

down the gates of hell, and completely destroy

       hell itself (Mt. 16:18)!

#1. Eternal punishment is impossible because God

shall accomplish His grand goal of becoming

"All in All" which means God being Everything

to Every One (I Cor. 15:28 RSV)!
